Prophet's Mosque Offers Comprehensive Support To 4,000 Itikaf Observers From 120 Nations
The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque is providing extensive support to 4,000 itikaf observers from 120 countries. These individuals are observing itikaf in 48 designated areas within the Prophet's Mosque. They focus on worship activities like prayer, Quran reading, and supplication until Ramadan ends.
To enhance their experience, the authority offers various services. These include daily meals and water supply in a spiritually uplifting setting. Personal and health services are also available to ensure comfort during this period. Observers receive a wristband for easy access to itikaf areas.

Additional services provided include multilingual translation and guidance screens that explain itikaf requirements. Luggage storage lockers are available, along with medical clinics offering first aid. Sleeping essentials, laundry facilities, and mobile charging stations are also part of the amenities.
Each observer receives a personal care kit to maintain hygiene. The authority emphasizes maintaining cleanliness within the mosque and encourages observers to store belongings in designated lockers. Observers must remain in their assigned areas based on registration numbers.
The authority has set guidelines to ensure a peaceful environment. Observers should focus on worship, avoid disturbances during prayers, wear clean attire, and use pleasant fragrances. They must follow health guidelines and safety instructions when using pathways for entry and exit.
Bringing unauthorized food or luggage into itikaf areas is prohibited. Holding study sessions or receiving visitors is not allowed, nor is bringing children to these sites. These measures aim to maintain tranquility within the mosque.
The authority's efforts ensure that observers can dedicate themselves fully to worship without distractions. By adhering to these guidelines, participants contribute to a harmonious atmosphere conducive to spiritual reflection.
