Itikaf At Prophet Mosque: 3,200 Worshippers Set For Final Ramadan Days

The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque is preparing detailed Itikaf services at the Prophet's Mosque for the last 10 days of Ramadan, with arrangements designed to welcome 3,200 worshippers in organised and safe conditions.

The authority confirms that 2,400 men and 800 women will be able to observe Itikaf, using preassigned locations that support orderly movement, clear supervision and continuous service delivery throughout the period of stay inside the mosque facilities.

Designated areas for men are placed on the eastern roof of the Prophet's Mosque, while women will use areas within the eastern expansion, where routes have been planned to allow easy access and reduce congestion when entering, exiting or moving between sections.

The prepared Itikaf zones comprise four main halls divided into 48 sections, each section containing lockers for personal belongings, with space carefully allocated so worshippers can rest, read and perform rituals without crowding during the final 10 days of Ramadan.

The authority is providing a wide range of support services, including air conditioning, suitable lighting, perfume and incense, iftar and suhoor meals, safety and security systems, directional signs, information screens, medical and first aid care, charging stations, laundry, hygiene kits and bedding items.

These Itikaf services at the Prophet's Mosque are part of the wider seasonal plan to support visitors, helping worshippers dedicate time to prayer and reflection in calm surroundings while ensuring that practical needs are met during their stay inside the Prophet's Mosque complex.
