Prominent Leaders Highlight Women's Vital Contributions To National Progress At Emirati Women’s Forum

At the Emirati Women’s Forum, leaders emphasised the crucial role of women in fortifying family structures, preserving cultural heritage, and contributing to national development. They highlighted women's success in balancing family duties with active involvement in economic, social, and cultural arenas, affirming their essential role as partners in shaping the UAE's progress.

The forum was organised by the Dubai Women Establishment to celebrate the 10th Emirati Women’s Day. It was held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Gender Balance Council and Dubai Women Establishment. The event gathered senior officials, experts, academics, and nearly 700 executive leaders from various sectors.

Leaders Emphasise Women's Role in UAE Progress

Sana bint Mohammed Suhail, UAE Minister of Family, stressed that family has always been a national priority since the country's founding. She noted this focus was instilled by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and reinforced by H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak. The Ministry of Family represents a key milestone in advancing this vision.

She praised Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed for supporting women across sectors and commended Dubai Women Establishment for organising the forum. Suhail emphasised that Emirati women have successfully balanced family care with contributions to economic, social, and cultural advancement.

The Ministry has developed a comprehensive family strategy with national partners to safeguard core family values as a pillar of society. Suhail urged youth to view family as an investment and national aspiration, highlighting that a strong family is foundational to a strong nation.

Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri affirmed that Emirati women have been key contributors to the UAE's progress since its founding. He noted their advancement into leadership roles and diverse fields, becoming vital forces in shaping the nation's present and future.

Leadership Support for Women's Advancement

Al Marri highlighted women's role in strengthening families through raising and educating children. He underlined leadership support in ensuring women's access to education and healthcare, establishing quality institutions for knowledge transfer to future generations.

The UAE is recognised globally for advancing women and achieving gender balance through clear strategies and best practices adoption. Al Marri also spoke about initiatives empowering women within his Directorate, noting pioneering achievements by female employees in innovation and customer service.

Cultural Heritage Preservation

Hala Badri from Dubai Culture highlighted Emirati women's role in preserving national identity and cultural heritage for future generations. She noted their contribution to knowledge transfer across generations and strengthening the UAE's cultural legacy globally.

Mona Ghanem Al Marri emphasised that empowering women is essential for building a modern state. She praised historic support from Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak and efforts by Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed in expanding opportunities for women to lead and innovate.

Forum Highlights Achievements

The forum featured ten panel discussions celebrating Emirati women's successes across diverse fields. It underscored their vital role in shaping national progress while reflecting leadership's commitment to supporting women’s empowerment.

The event marked the 10th anniversary of Emirati Women’s Day announced by H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak in 2015. It showcased contributions of Emirati women across vital sectors made possible through leadership support prioritising women's empowerment.
