Privilege Digital Card For Seniors In Saudi Arabia Enhances Access To Services And Dignified Living

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development is expanding support tools for senior citizens through the Privilege Digital Card for Seniors. The initiative aims to improve daily services, protect rights, and ensure that older people across Saudi Arabia receive clear priority when dealing with government, private, and non-profit entities.

This digital card aligns directly with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which include raising quality of life and strengthening social care systems. By recognising senior citizens as a key social group, the ministry links practical benefits with national goals to create a more inclusive service environment for older people.

Privilege Card for Seniors in Saudi Arabia

The Privilege Card functions as a smart digital identity. It is issued automatically to every male and female Saudi citizen once the age of 60 is reached. No one needs to submit an application or complete paper forms, which reduces administrative effort and makes access to services smoother and faster.

Beyond its role as a digital identifier, the Privilege Card serves as a companion across many platforms and sectors. It enables senior citizens to complete transactions more easily with ministries, private companies, and non-profit organisations. The card confirms their status immediately, which helps institutions recognise them and provide priority treatment at service points.

The benefits extend beyond digital access. The card guarantees senior citizens first priority for services in participating bodies. It supports their comfort through features such as front-row seating and reserved parking near main entrances, reflecting an integrated approach that targets both dignity and practical ease in daily life.

The initiative also highlights the social and historical role of older people in building Saudi society. The ministry uses the Privilege Card to encourage private and third-sector organisations to launch further support programmes, promoting a stronger culture of social responsibility around the needs and status of senior citizens.

Current achievements demonstrate broad adoption, with 1,213 government entities and affiliates involved and all senior citizens in the Kingdom now covered. The next stage is planned to bring wider strategic partnerships, more benefits for cardholders, and better user experience, while confirming the ministry’s plan to maintain a sustainable, comprehensive social care system across all life stages.
