Princess Reema Thanks Participants Of KSA10 Campaign For Cancer Awareness And Early Detection

Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz has expressed gratitude to those participating in the 10KSA 2025 campaign. This initiative aims to promote cancer prevention and early detection awareness by forming a Lavender Ribbon. She encouraged the community to support the campaign's objectives and participate by wearing lavender ribbons on December 8, a colour symbolising awareness for all cancer types.

The campaign is supported by contributions from various governmental and private organisations. The Ministry of Education will involve schools across different regions in activities that educate students about healthy lifestyles. In Aseer Region, 10,000 lavender bushes are being planted with the help of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, represented by Morooj and other partners.

Princess Reema Acknowledges KSA10 Campaign Support

Eng. Mansour bin Hilal Al-Mishiti, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture and Chairman of Morooj's Board of Trustees, stated that environmental sustainability complements human health and quality of life. This initiative seeks to enhance health and environmental awareness while improving the Kingdom's environment.

The Saudi Camel Federation is showing its support by creating a unique Lavender Ribbon formation using camels. From December 7-9, the Saudi Sports for All Federation is promoting physical activity through the 10KSA Step Challenge. Communities are invited to walk 10,000 steps daily for a chance to win prizes.

Internationally, Saudi embassies are hosting awareness events as part of the campaign's global reach. Saudi students in the US are also spreading 10KSA messages on campuses. In The Gambia and West Africa, Safe Hands for Girls collaborates with the National Control Program to provide health screenings in local communities.

The ROSHN Group has launched public engagement activities to raise cancer awareness. These began at Cityscape Global 2025 real estate exhibition and continued during key football matches like Al-Ittihad Club versus Al-Shabab in the King’s Cup and Al-Ahli against Al-Qadsiah in the ROSHN Saudi League's ninth round.

Local Initiatives

ROSHN Group's efforts include a lavender ribbon formation at their premises and a lavender planting initiative at ROSHN Front in Riyadh and ROSHN Waterfront in Jeddah from December 4-6. These activities aim to engage the public further in cancer awareness efforts.

The success of the 10KSA campaign is attributed to support from numerous Saudi entities such as the Ministry of Health, Ministerial Committee of Health in All Policies, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Aseer Development Authority, and Environment Fund.
