Prince Abdulaziz Bin Talal Launches Family Medicine Guide Platform To Enhance Healthcare In Saudi Arabia

Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND) and honorary president of the Saudi Society of Family and Community Medicine, recently sponsored an event in Riyadh. The occasion marked World Family Doctor Day and saw participation from various officials in both public and private health sectors. Several projects were launched during this celebration, including a new platform for family medicine.

The event highlighted the launch of the Family Medicine Guide's official website, DaleelFM.com. This platform serves as a national reference to enhance family medicine content and practice across Saudi Arabia. Over 3,000 family physicians contributed to its development and updates. Prince Abdulaziz emphasized that this initiative supports the health transformation goals outlined in Saudi Vision 2030.

During his speech, Prince Abdulaziz praised the essential role family physicians play in community service. He noted that the DaleelFM.com app boosts the society’s credibility by adhering to scientific and statistical methodologies. The app is part of broader efforts to advance healthcare services in line with national objectives.

Dr. Malak Al-Shammari, Chairperson of the Saudi Society of Family and Community Medicine, reiterated their dedication to improving family medicine practices. The society aims to elevate healthcare services through innovative initiatives and strategic partnerships. These efforts align with Saudi Vision 2030’s objectives for primary healthcare development.

The event also celebrated winners of the Family Medicine Excellence Awards. A scientific symposium titled "Celebrating World Family Doctor Day" was organized as part of ongoing efforts to support primary healthcare pathways within the Kingdom.
