Presight Establishes R&D Laboratory In Kazakhstan To Drive AI And Digital Governance Innovations

Presight has unveiled its inaugural regional Research and Development (R&D) Laboratory in Central Asia. Magzhan Kenesbai, Presight's Chief Growth Officer, announced this development, underscoring the company's expanding role in Kazakhstan's digital transformation and AI ecosystem. This new R&D facility will focus on creating and adapting advanced solutions in artificial intelligence, data analytics, and digital governance to support national goals for technological independence and innovation-driven growth.

Kenesbai also discussed the Astana Smart City project, a significant public-private partnership between Presight and the Akimat of Astana. This initiative is crucial to the city's digital transformation, incorporating artificial intelligence into essential urban management areas. "Kazakhstan is rapidly becoming a regional hub for artificial intelligence and advanced analytics," stated Kenesbai. "Through our R&D Lab and large-scale projects such as the Astana Smart City, Presight aims to foster technological innovation, empower local talent and apply AI where it matters most."

Presight Opens R&D Lab in Kazakhstan

Zhaslan Madiyev, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of Kazakhstan, praised the opening of Presight’s R&D Lab at Alem.AI. He highlighted its significance for the country's innovation agenda: "The launch of Presight’s R&D Lab marks an important milestone in strengthening Kazakhstan’s AI ecosystem. It will help build local expertise, facilitate technology transfer, and accelerate the adoption of AI across key sectors of the economy. A special focus will be placed on developing AI-powered Smart City solutions enhancing urban management, transport, safety, and sustainable development," said Deputy Prime Minister Madiyev.

AI-Driven Government Initiatives

Presight has significantly contributed to establishing Kazakhstan's first Command Center for Government Analytics and Decision-Making. This flagship component of the AI-Driven Government vision was presented to Heads of State by Minister Madiyev. The system allows real-time monitoring, analysis, and management of national and municipal processes, marking a major step forward in data-driven governance.

Collaboration Beyond Borders

Beyond Kazakhstan, Kenesbai highlighted Presight's successful collaboration with Azerbaijan's government. The company is implementing AI solutions for Azerbaijan's Ministry of Science and Education and Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. These efforts aim to advance national AI strategies and infrastructure in both countries. "The initiatives led by Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan are fully aligned with global AI trends from national data centers to large language models and industrial AI platforms," he emphasised. "We are proud to be part of this shared success."

Presight's expanding operations in Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan reflect its broader strategy to establish itself as the preferred partner for AI and digital transformation in Central Asia. By leveraging its global experience, Presight aims to localise AI solutions for sustainable and inclusive digital development across the region.
