Presight And Jordan Embark On A Landmark Digital Healthcare Transformation Journey

Presight, a prominent big data analytics firm using generative artificial intelligence (AI), has secured a multi-million-dollar contract from Jordan’s Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (MODEE). This agreement aims to drive digital transformation in Jordan's healthcare sector.

The contract will enable Presight to utilise M42's Abu Dhabi Health Data Services (ADHDS) expertise. This experience, gained from successful digital healthcare projects in Abu Dhabi, will serve as a model to accelerate the adoption of innovative technologies and data-driven strategies in Jordan. The goal is to enhance healthcare outcomes for Jordanian citizens through advanced data insights.

Digital Shift in Jordan s Healthcare

Key components of the contract include delivering a comprehensive public sector digital healthcare assessment and roadmap. Additionally, it involves developing a health information exchange strategy and business case. A virtual hospital "Command Centre" will also be established, offering tele-ICU, tele-radiology, and tele-dialysis services to peripheral hospitals.

The initiative has already commenced with an inaugural meeting held in Jordan. This meeting included Ahmad Hanandeh, Jordan’s Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, and Dr. Firas Al-Hawari, Jordan’s Minister of Health. Through this project, MODEE aims to capture most clinical encounters digitally, enhancing resource efficiency and quality of care while reducing healthcare costs.

Dr. Firas Al-Hawari commented on the initiative: "Digital transformation in the healthcare sector is no longer just an option but an urgent necessity for achieving national goals in providing comprehensive care. Initiatives such as these are crucial for advancing the healthcare sector and keeping it aligned with global developments."

Commitment to Ethical AI Integration

Dr. Adel Alsharji, COO of Presight, highlighted the transformative potential of AI-driven technologies: "AI-driven technologies are revolutionising healthcare and reshaping our approach to health and wellness. This contract with Jordan's Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship reflects our commitment to using AI-powered analytics responsibly to create societal value and our dedication to ethical practices and patient data security."

Kareem Shahin, CEO of M42’s Abu Dhabi Health Data Services, emphasised the significance of this partnership: "Abu Dhabi exemplifies how data and advanced technology can transform healthcare management and delivery. This partnership marks a crucial step in shaping the future of Jordan’s healthcare sector."

This collaboration aims to make healthcare more accessible, efficient, and responsive to all citizens' needs by applying ADHDS's experience from working with Abu Dhabi's Department of Health.

The project is expected to result in significant improvements in resource efficiencies, quality of care enhancement, cost streamlining, and better access to critical medical services across Jordan.

The initiative represents a major step towards establishing a digitally transformed healthcare landscape in Jordan that aligns with global standards.
