Poland's President Andrzej Duda Highlights Commitment To Enhance Connectivity And Economic Cooperation With UAE

During the World Governments Summit (WGS) 2025, Poland's President Andrzej Duda emphasised the shared values and modern history between Poland and the UAE. He stressed the importance of collaboration for mutual prosperity. Duda praised the UAE's growing global influence, stating, "The UAE has developed beyond recognition. This fast-paced progress is a common trait of both Poland and the UAE. We are committed to enhancing cooperation with the UAE because it is an influential and credible partner with rising aspirations."

Duda highlighted Poland's economic growth since 1989, noting significant GDP increases and strengthened political and economic foundations. He attributed this success to innovative strategies. "Over the last three decades, we have achieved unprecedented growth of our GDP and continue to strengthen the political and economic foundations of our development," he said.

Duda Commits to Strengthen Ties with UAE

Poland's strategic location at key European transportation routes was also discussed by Duda. He mentioned plans for a Central Communication Port, which will include an international airport and a network of railroads and freeways across Poland. This development aims to enhance connectivity within Europe.

The Port of Swinoujscie is set to become another major Polish seaport with a container terminal linked to land transport networks. Investments in infrastructure like freeways and railroads aim to improve connections between Europe's north and south, facilitating trade with Africa and the Middle East.

Duda noted Poland's energy security achievements through diverse energy sources and nuclear power investments. These efforts ensure a stable energy supply for the country, supporting its continued development.

The Three Seas Initiative

The Three Seas Initiative was highlighted as a platform promoting infrastructure and economic cooperation among Baltic, Adriatic, and Black Sea regions. It involves 13 Central European countries with over 100 million consumers, aiming for a 35% GDP growth by 2030.

Duda expressed optimism about shared values between regions, stating: "Our horizons are much wider than just Europe. I am glad to state that our countries and regions share a lot in terms of modern history and values. My hope is that we will continue to transform through hard work and visionary leadership for mutual benefit."
