Ministry Of Defence Gears Up For Union Fortress 10 Military Parade In Al Ain On December 14, 2024

The Ministry of Defence is preparing for the 10th "Union Fortress" military parade. This event will occur at Al Ain International Airport on Saturday, 14 December 2024. The theme for this edition is "Pride and Loyalty, Pledge and Allegiance, Security and Prosperity." It aims to showcase the UAE Armed Forces' dedication and professionalism in protecting the nation.

The parade will include a joint display by various armed forces units. These formations will demonstrate their coordinated efforts and readiness. Additionally, field exercises will highlight the advanced combat skills of the UAE Armed Forces. Key units will perform rapid intervention operations, showcasing their flexibility and efficiency in ensuring national security.

Since its inception on Abu Dhabi Corniche in March 2017, "Union Fortress" has evolved significantly. Each edition has been hosted in different emirates, reflecting its growing importance. The second edition took place in Sharjah in November 2017, followed by Al Ain in February 2018 for the third. Fujairah hosted the fourth edition in November 2018.

Ajman was the venue for "Union Fortress 5" in March 2019, while Ras Al Khaimah hosted the sixth edition in November 2019. The seventh parade occurred in Umm Al Qaiwain in February 2020. In March 2022, "Union Fortress 8" was held at Expo 2020 Dubai, followed by Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, hosting the ninth edition in November 2023.
