Police Chiefs Council Reviews Key Security Initiatives And Organisational Challenges In 2025 Meeting
Lt. General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, who serves as the Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, chaired the seventh meeting of the Police Chiefs Council for 2025. This session was conducted remotely and included participation from police chiefs, senior officers, and officials from the Ministry of Interior.
The Council's agenda included a focus on the Social Risk Assessment Form for At-Risk Juveniles. This initiative aims to evaluate the social conditions of minors who may be prone to delinquency. It seeks to analyse factors that could lead to behavioural issues and identify preventive measures.

A proposal was discussed to create safe routes for delivery motorcycles under an initiative called The Safe Path. This program is designed to increase road safety awareness among riders and companies, aiming to reduce traffic accidents and injuries. It aligns with the Ministry of Interior’s goal to improve road safety and enhance community life quality.
The Council also reviewed mid-year results from the Standing Committee on Weapons and Explosives. Key challenges faced in field police operations were highlighted, along with proposed solutions to improve operational performance and procedural efficiency nationwide.
Members received updates on We the UAE performance indicators for the third quarter of 2025. These covered essential security and traffic statistics such as accident rates, fatalities, response times to critical incidents, which achieved a 100% response within ten minutes, and major crime rates per 100,000 residents.
In concluding their discussions, the Council addressed additional agenda items. They adopted resolutions and recommendations aimed at strengthening institutional performance while aligning with strategic objectives set by the Ministry.
