This move quickly put him 55 seconds ahead of his closest rivals, Mikel Landa of Soudal Quick Step and Egan Bernal from Ineos Grenadiers. Pogačar maintained this lead through to the finish, crossing the line 57 seconds before his competitors.

With the Barcelona-Barcelona stage up next, featuring six laps on the Alt de Montjuic, Pogačar leads the general classification by 3 minutes and 31 seconds over Landa. Reflecting on his performance, Pogačar commented on the race's difficulty and praised his team's control from the outset. Jenno Berkmoes of Lotto Dstny emerged victorious in this final stage, while UAE Team Emirates' Diego Ulissi showcased his prowess throughout. Ulissi, who had previously won stage 2, finished in 10th place for the day but secured a commendable third place in the final general classification, just 10 seconds behind winner Koen Bowman of Visma-Lease a Bike.
