Historic First GCC Sports Tournament For Female Students Concludes At PNU

Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU) recently marked a significant milestone in the realm of sports within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries by concluding the first sports tournament exclusively for female students from universities and higher education institutions across the GCC. This pioneering event, which took place from April 26, showcased a series of competitive sports including tennis, badminton, futsal, and volleyball.

The tournament concluded with a coronation ceremony that celebrated the top-performing universities. In the tennis category, the University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) clinched first place, followed by Qatar University in second, and King Saud University in third. King Abdulaziz University took home the victory in badminton, with PNU and UDST securing second and third places respectively. Futsal saw PNU leading the pack, UDST coming in second, and the University of Technology and Applied Sciences taking third place. In volleyball, PNU was crowned champion, UDST took second place, and Qatar University came in third.

GCC Female Students' Sports Milestone
