PIF Becomes Title Partner Of New Global Series For Women’s Golf Events

Golf Saudi and the Public Investment Fund (PIF) have announced a significant partnership, naming PIF as the title partner for a new global series in women's golf. This series will feature five events on the Ladies European Tour (LET) in 2025. The collaboration highlights PIF's dedication to advancing women's sports globally.

The PIF Global Series will include five tournaments across three continents, each with a unique format combining team and individual competitions. Four of these events will offer a prize purse of $2 million, making it one of the most lucrative in women's golf. The series aims to elevate the sport by providing substantial financial incentives.

PIF Partners in New Women’s Golf Series

The inclusion of the PIF Saudi Ladies International in the 2025 schedule further strengthens this series. This tournament offers a $5 million prize purse, one of the largest in professional women's golf. It positions itself as a key event alongside regular LET fixtures and major competitions.

The five tournaments in the PIF Global Series are scheduled as follows: PIF Saudi Ladies International at Riyadh Golf Club from February 12-15; Aramco Korea Championship at New Korea Country Club in Seoul from May 9-11; PIF Championship at Centurion Club in London from August 8-10; Aramco Houston Championship in Houston from September 5-7; and Aramco Shenzhen Championship at Mission Hills, Shenzhen, China from November 6-8.

Alanoud Althonayan, Head of Events and Sponsorships at PIF, stated: "PIF continues to be a catalyst for the growth of women’s sports, committed to delivering long-term transformative impact by inspiring and empowering female athletes at every level." This partnership aims to drive growth and provide opportunities for women golfers worldwide.

Noah Alireza, CEO of Golf Saudi, expressed gratitude for this collaboration with PIF. He noted that hosting international tournaments has significantly increased local interest in golf, with over 6,000 people enrolling in their free 'GoGolf' lesson program. The partnership seeks to connect local efforts with global momentum.

Enhancing Competition Levels

Alexandra Armas, CEO of Ladies European Tour, remarked: "These tournaments are well-supported by our members through their end-to-end event experiences and competitive environments." She emphasized that this partnership with PIF enhances competition levels and commitment to women's golf.

Charley Hull, a Golf Saudi ambassador from England, commented: "The new PIF Global Series is another huge moment for the LET." She praised Golf Saudi and PIF for their role as game changers in women's golf by creating equal opportunities and raising standards for players worldwide.

This initiative underscores PIF's position as a leading supporter of women's sports globally. By addressing challenges and promoting future growth, it aims to inspire more young people to engage with golf worldwide.
