Pakistani PM And MWL Chief Honour Young Quran Memorizers At Ceremony
In a significant cultural and religious event in Islamabad, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, alongside the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, marked the conclusion of the annual Quran competition, Al-Maher. This prestigious contest is dedicated to young memorizers of the Holy Quran under the age of 10. The ceremony also included a momentous occasion where the foundation stone was laid for a new branch of the Museum of the Prophet's Biography and Islamic Civilization, an extension of its main branch located in Madinah.
The event saw the attendance of numerous dignitaries including Muhammad Ishaq Dar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs; Salik Hussain, Minister of Religious Affairs; and Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki, the Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan. Esteemed scholars, university professors, students, Quran memorizers, and their families also graced the occasion with their presence. The Prime Minister expressed his deep appreciation for MWL's significant contributions to promoting Islamic values and caring for Quran memorizers. He highlighted MWL's global influence and commended the Kingdom's leadership in serving humanity and leading the Islamic world.

Dr. Al-Issa, in his address to the young memorizers, emphasized the importance of preserving the Holy Quran and acknowledged the Pakistani government's commitment to this cause under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's leadership. The ceremony was not just a celebration but also an affirmation of Islamic duties and values. Winners of the year-long Quran competition were awarded their prizes amidst celebrations that underscored the importance of religious education and preservation.
The attendees were also treated to a presentation about the upcoming museum and exhibition project.
