First Group Of Pakistani Pilgrims Sets Off For Hajj Under Makkah Route Initiative

The inaugural group of Pakistani pilgrims set off today from Karachi, embarking on their spiritual journey to Saudi Arabia under the Makkah Route Initiative. This initiative, part of the Pilgrim Experience Program under Saudi Vision 2030, aims to streamline the Hajj process for pilgrims. Departing from Jinnah International Airport (JIAP), these pilgrims experienced a seamless departure, benefiting from the facilities of a lounge specifically designated for this initiative.

The Ministry of Interior's Makkah Route Initiative is designed to enhance the overall Hajj journey for participants. By allowing pilgrims to complete essential procedures in their home country, such as issuing electronic visas, collecting biometric data, and verifying health requirements before departure, the initiative ensures a smooth and efficient process. This pre-departure arrangement includes luggage coding and sorting according to pre-arranged transportation and accommodation in Saudi Arabia.

Upon their arrival at Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah, pilgrims are greeted and transported on dedicated buses to their residences in Makkah and Madinah. Their luggage is taken care of by service agencies, ensuring that they can focus on their spiritual journey without the burden of logistical concerns.

This streamlined process exemplifies Saudi Arabia's commitment to enhancing the Hajj experience through innovative solutions.
