Over Three Million People Benefited From Islamic Affairs Ministry's Services During 1446 AH Hajj Season
During the 1446 AH Hajj season, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance served over three million people in Makkah, Madinah, holy sites, and border entry points across Saudi Arabia. This was part of a plan to enhance religious awareness and ensure rituals were performed with moderation and balance.
The ministry's initiatives included providing more than 1.6 million litres of water at Namirah Mosque in Arafat. Additionally, they conducted 125,000 awareness activities in Makkah and Madinah. These activities involved 1,700 scholars and preachers offering direct religious guidance to pilgrims.

To further support pilgrims, over 1.4 million educational materials were distributed. These included books, brochures, and digital cards explaining ritual rulings. The ministry also sent nearly 100 million multilingual awareness text messages to pilgrims in various locations.
The ministry utilised digital platforms to broadcast 43 educational video episodes on its official YouTube channel. Moreover, a toll-free Islamic awareness hotline received over 500,000 calls from individuals seeking guidance during the Hajj season.
In addition to these efforts, four million video messages in multiple languages were displayed on 340 digital screens located in Miqat mosques and hotel prayer areas near the Grand Mosque. This ensured that pilgrims had access to important information throughout their journey.
Volunteer Contributions
A significant number of volunteers participated across various regions of Saudi Arabia. Over 25,000 volunteers contributed more than 124,000 hours through opportunities provided by the ministry to serve pilgrims during this period.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' gift of copies of the Holy Quran was distributed to departing pilgrims at various border crossings. This gesture aimed to provide spiritual support as they returned home after completing their pilgrimage.
The comprehensive efforts by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs highlight their commitment to supporting pilgrims during Hajj. By promoting religious awareness and facilitating rituals with balance, they ensured a meaningful experience for millions who participated in this sacred journey.
