Over 50 Stations Report Significant Rainfall Across Six Regions In Saudi Arabia

Jazan Region experienced the highest rainfall, with 35 mm recorded in Sanbah, Abu Arish Governorate. This was part of a broader pattern of scattered rainfall across six regions in the Kingdom. Other significant measurements in Jazan included 24 mm in Damad and 23.1 mm in Abu Arish.

In Al-Baha, rainfall was measured at 29.6 mm and 12.9 mm in Al-Mandaq Governorate’s Balkhzamar and Barahrah, respectively. Bani Hassan saw 10.6 mm, Baidan had 10.2 mm, and King Saud Airport recorded 9.4 mm of rain.

Rainfall Recorded Across Six Saudi Regions

Makkah experienced rainfall reaching 18.4 mm in Jaddam of Al-Lith Governorate. In Maysan, Abu Rakah received 17.2 mm while Bani Saad saw 16 mm of rain.

A total of 51 hydrological and climate monitoring stations documented rainfall over the past day in Makkah, Madinah, Aseer, Jazan, Najran, and Al-Baha regions. These stations provided detailed data on the precipitation levels observed.

In Aseer, Al-Faraah of Al Namas recorded 14.6 mm of rain while Sarat Abidah saw 14 mm. Abha’s national meteorology centre noted 4.8 mm, and King Faisal Road in Al Namas recorded 3.6 mm.

Rainfall Details for Najran and Madinah

Najran recorded a mere 1 mm of rain in Al-Namsah of Badr Al-Janub. Meanwhile, Madinah's Al-Salhaniyah in Al-Mahd saw a slight rainfall measurement of 0.7 mm.

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture's daily report highlighted that King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Airport received 19 mm of rain while Al-Rawdah had 17.8 mm and Jazan Naval Air Squadron noted 16.8 mm.
