Over 2.5 Million Faithful Complete Quran Recitation At Grand Mosque In Ramadan
On the 29th night of Ramadan, a significant gathering took place at the Grand Mosque, where over two and a half million worshippers came together for Isha and Tarawih prayers. This event marked the completion of the Quran recitation, a pivotal moment during the holy month. The Grand Mosque, from early morning, was bustling with activity as Umrah performers and worshippers filled the space to its capacity, arriving in Makkah throughout the day.
Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais led the prayers, during which he sought forgiveness and salvation for all Muslims. The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque played a crucial role in facilitating this large gathering. They provided transportation carts, managed cleaning and disinfection efforts, and guided Umrah performers and worshippers to designated prayer areas. This was all part of their commitment to ensuring the comfort and safety of visitors.

The mosque was equipped with additional services to accommodate the vast number of attendees. These included escalators, air conditioning, restrooms, and well-organized entry and exit procedures. Such measures were instrumental in ensuring smooth movement within the mosque's areas, contributing significantly to the overall experience of the visitors.
Visitors expressed their gratitude for the exceptional services provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They commended the leadership's dedication to the Two Holy Mosques and their efforts to ensure a comfortable experience for everyone involved. The prayers on this special night also included supplications for Allah to bless the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince, praying for their abundant reward.
The successful management of such a large gathering highlights the Kingdom's commitment to facilitating religious practices while ensuring safety and comfort for worshippers. This event stands as a testament to Saudi Arabia's dedication to upholding its religious traditions and providing exemplary services to those who visit its sacred sites.
