Polish President Andrzej Duda Emphasises Strategic Partnership With UAE At World Government Summit 2025
During the World Government Summit (WGS) 2025 in Dubai, Polish President Andrzej Duda highlighted the importance of global dialogue and collaboration. Speaking with the Emirates News Agency (WAM), he expressed his delight at attending the summit, stressing its role in enhancing cooperation with Poland and the wider Central and Eastern European region. Such events, he noted, are vital for fostering international partnerships and economic growth.
President Duda's visit to the UAE marks his third trip to the country as he approaches the final six months of his presidency, concluding a decade in office. Reflecting on his tenure, he acknowledged the significant strengthening of ties between Poland and the UAE, as well as with other Gulf nations. He expressed satisfaction with these deepening diplomatic and economic relationships, recognising the region’s swift development and dynamic economy.

The Polish leader also mentioned his participation in other significant forums like the World Economic Forum in Davos and the Dalian Economic Forum. These engagements play a crucial role in promoting international cooperation and economic development. He emphasised that such interactions are essential for building strong global partnerships.
President Duda referred to a New York Times article suggesting that observing global developments from Dubai offers unique insights. He found this perspective validated by the high-level discussions at WGS, which covered critical issues like artificial intelligence, electromobility, climate change, and sustainable energy sources.
The need for environmentally friendly yet accessible energy solutions was a key point for President Duda. He stressed balancing climate-conscious policies with economic affordability to ensure energy remains available to ordinary people while supporting sustainable development.
Concluding his remarks, President Duda praised platforms like WGS for their role in shaping future governance and global cooperation. He commended the UAE’s leadership in hosting such an important international event, recognising its significance in fostering dialogue among nations.
