Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Attends Session On Elevating UAE Talent For Global Competitiveness

H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, attended a session titled ‘Our Ambition: Elevating UAE Talent for Global Competitiveness’. This event was part of the UAE Government's Annual Meetings 2024 in Abu Dhabi, gathering over 500 leaders and officials from various federal and local organisations. The session focused on enhancing the competitiveness of Emirati talent through innovative initiatives.

Ghannam Al Mazrouei, Secretary General of the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council, led the session. He discussed strategic plans aimed at empowering Emirati professionals to excel in both local and international markets. These plans include national training programmes designed to align Emirati skills with evolving labour market demands. The emphasis is on fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among Emiratis.

Al Mazrouei elaborated on the significant impact of the Nafis programme, which was launched in September 2021. This initiative has created thousands of job opportunities for young Emiratis in the private sector. It underscores the UAE leadership's commitment to integrating young nationals into competitive roles that equip them with essential skills and knowledge.

H.H. Sheikh Khaled praised the achievements of the Nafis programme, noting its success in increasing national talent employment in the private sector to record levels. He stressed building on these positive outcomes to further raise Emiratisation rates across all sectors in future endeavours.
