Organizational Services Support Worshippers At Prophet’s Mosque During Umrah Season

The Prophet’s Mosque is experiencing a large number of worshippers and visitors during the Umrah season. The General Authority for the Care of the Prophet’s Mosque ensures that services are in place to meet their needs, creating an environment conducive to prayer and reflection. The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) documented these scenes, highlighting the efforts made to manage the crowds effectively.

Support services are available for elderly individuals and those with disabilities. Water distribution is organised for worshippers, and iftar services are provided in designated areas for those fasting. Additionally, cleaning, sanitisation, and perfuming services maintain a serene and hygienic atmosphere within the mosque.

To ensure water quality, random samples of Zamzam water are taken from dispensers and cooled drinking fountains in the courtyards. Samples from hard surfaces around the mosque are also tested to confirm compliance with health standards. Air quality is monitored closely, with air conditioning adjusted according to weather conditions and the number of people present.

Security personnel play a crucial role in guiding worshippers to designated prayer areas inside the mosque, on its roof, and in surrounding courtyards. They help maintain clear pathways for pedestrians and prevent obstructions during entry and exit through the mosque’s doors after prayers.

The program for visiting Al-Rawda Al-Sharifa and Prophet Mohammed's tomb is managed through pre-scheduled appointments via the Nusuk app. This system aligns visits with space capacity, ensuring a smooth experience for all visitors. Services are available around the clock in both men’s and women’s sections of the mosque.

The Crowd Management Department plays an essential role by providing guidance and organisational support to worshippers within the mosque's outer courtyards. Their efforts ensure that everyone can perform their religious duties comfortably and safely.
