UAE’s Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 Hosts Mass Wedding For 54 Grooms In Gaza Strip During Eid Al Etihad
The UAE celebrated its 54th Eid Al Etihad by hosting a mass wedding for 54 grooms from Gaza. This event, part of "Operation Chivalrous Knight 3," aimed to bring hope and support to young people and families in the region facing challenging conditions. The initiative, themed "Thawb Al-Farah" (The Garment of Joy), underscores the UAE's commitment to social stability and spreading joy despite adversity.
Ali Al Shihi, leading the Emirati mission in Gaza, highlighted the significance of this celebration. He stated that it reflects the UAE’s dedication to prioritising human happiness in its policies. Al Shihi emphasised that the event sends a message of resilience from Gaza's people, showing that joy can prevail over hardship and hope can thrive even amidst difficulties.
Al Shihi expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the newlyweds, wishing them a bright future as they start their new lives. He remarked that these joyful moments demonstrate Gaza’s youth and families' ability to celebrate life despite daily struggles. According to him, this celebration proves that happiness can flourish even in the toughest situations.
The wedding ceremony was attended by over 21,000 individuals from across Gaza. It featured various artistic and cultural performances, including traditional dabke dance and folk songs celebrating Palestinian identity. Musical and entertainment shows added to the festive atmosphere, bringing happiness and delight to all present.
