Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 Inspects Lifeline Water Supply Project Progress In Southern Gaza
The UAE's Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 team recently inspected the "Lifeline Water Supply Project" in Gaza. This initiative, in partnership with the Coastal Municipalities Water Utility (CMWU), aims to establish sustainable water pipelines for southern Gaza. It is part of the UAE's broader humanitarian efforts to support Palestinians amidst ongoing conflicts.
The project involves laying a 7-kilometre water pipeline from UAE desalination stations in Rafah, Egypt, to Al Mawasi in southern Gaza. This densely populated area houses many displaced individuals. The initiative is crucial for addressing the urgent needs of families affected by the humanitarian crisis due to ongoing conflicts.

Approximately 600,000 people, including children, women, and elderly individuals, are expected to benefit from this project. It aims to provide a reliable supply of clean water, easing health burdens caused by limited resources and frequent water outages during extreme summer temperatures.
Implemented with CMWU and Egyptian authorities' coordination, the project is supervised by Emirati teams alongside CMWU's technical teams. They ensure engineering standards are met and local needs addressed. Technical teams report rapid progress, aiming to launch water distribution soon.
This effort is part of a larger plan under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, which includes relief, medical, and infrastructure projects for Gaza's people. The project underscores the UAE's commitment to sustainable humanitarian support amid unprecedented challenges from ongoing hostilities and infrastructure collapse.
Once operational, this initiative will alleviate daily struggles for thousands of families. It also serves as a model for regional and international cooperation in addressing humanitarian crises effectively.
