Olympus Inaugurates New Service Training Centre At Dubai Science Park To Enhance Regional Support

Olympus has launched a new Service Training Centre in Dubai Science Park, part of TECOM Group PJSC. This facility, costing AED3.7 million (US$1 million), aims to support Olympus' partners in over 33 countries in the Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa (META) region. The centre benefits from Dubai Science Park's infrastructure to enhance training and support for technicians.

The inauguration was attended by Jun Imanishi, Consul-General of Japan in Dubai and the Northern Emirates; Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, Senior Vice President of Dubai Science Park; Ronald Boueri, Vice President and Managing Director of Olympus META; and Dr Zeyad Al Moosa, Managing Director, Partner, and Board Member of GulfDrug LLC. Senior officials were also present at the event.

Olympus Opens Training Centre in Dubai

This new facility will offer hands-on product training, demonstrations, and technical workshops for Olympus’ medical and surgical equipment. It includes a modern service and repair workshop along with a spare-parts warehouse. This setup aims to improve supply chains with Dubai as a central hub for regional hospitals and companies.

Two fully equipped training rooms are part of the centre's features. These rooms are designed to train 150 engineers from various partners across the META region. The goal is to enhance their technical skills and improve service quality standards.

Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi stated that businesses aiming for sustainable growth must establish a physical presence in the region. He emphasised that this helps access emerging opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and respond swiftly to changing needs. "By opening a dedicated service training centre in Dubai Science Park, Olympus is demonstrating its commitment to our region as a crucial pillar in its growth plans," he said.

Ronald Boueri highlighted that this facility enhances Olympus' ability to provide exceptional service and technical expertise across META. He noted that Dubai Science Park offers an ideal environment with its infrastructure surrounded by a global network of businesses, innovators, and medical experts.

A Thriving Ecosystem

Dubai Science Park supports over 6,500 professionals from life sciences, energy, and environmental sectors. It provides a cohesive ecosystem that fosters innovation and collaboration among various industries.

The new centre is part of Olympus' broader strategy involving regional hubs in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and Asia-Pacific. These hubs enable Olympus to support clients globally while offering comprehensive training for technicians wherever they operate.

This initiative underscores Olympus' dedication to enhancing service quality through advanced training facilities while strengthening its presence in the META region.
