OIC Chief Urges Global Support For Palestinian Rights And Stability
Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hissein Brahim Taha, has emphasised the necessity of collective efforts to convene an international conference addressing the current situation in Palestine. Speaking at the 33rd ordinary session of the Arab Summit in Manama, Bahrain, Taha called for decisive actions at the level of foreign ministers to protect Palestinians from Israeli occupation offensives.
During his address, Taha highlighted the importance of making decisions that enable Palestinians to remain on their land. He reiterated the need for global responsibility to halt the ongoing conflict and utilise all available legal and judicial means internationally to ensure the protection of Palestinians and hold perpetrators accountable.

"We warmly welcome all decisions from the United Nations regarding full membership for the State of Palestine so that the Palestinian people can enjoy all their rights just like other peoples of the world. We should view this initiative and decision positively and support it extensively," Taha stated.
Taha underscored that dialogue remains the only way to achieve lasting peace. The OIC encourages all parties to adopt dialogue to attain peace and stability throughout the Arab world. He also stressed unity and stability in Somalia, emphasising the necessity of combating terrorism and extremism.
"We have worked to combat Islamophobia and hate speech, and we work with the international community to reduce manifestations of hate speech and other related issues. We encourage dialogue between different civilizations and religions," Taha added.
The session concluded with a reaffirmation of the OIC's commitment to addressing these critical issues through international cooperation and dialogue.
