OIC Media Observatory Documents Surge In Israeli Aggression Against Palestinians In Early April 2025
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation's (OIC) Media Observatory reported 2,725 Israeli crimes against Palestinians from April 1 to 7, 2025. The most severe incident was the bombing of the "Dar Al-Arqam" school in Al-Tuffah, killing 31 Palestinians, mostly women and children. This period also saw journalists killed and a video showing the execution of 14 people, including a UN employee.
In Gaza, the humanitarian situation worsened as Israeli forces bombed a United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) clinic, resulting in 55 deaths. Most victims were women and children. Additionally, settlers set fire to UNRWA land in Al-Quds. The World Food Programme (WFP) had to close bakeries due to shortages caused by aid crossing closures.

Israeli forces intensified their efforts around Rafah by demolishing homes and expanding buffer zones. These actions mirrored similar strategies in northern Gaza amid displacement plans. Control over the Morag Corridor was announced as part of broader strategic moves.
The observatory documented 400 Palestinian deaths and 1,112 injuries in just one week of April. Since the start of the conflict, over 51,700 Palestinians have died, with more than 122,175 injured. In the West Bank, Israeli forces conducted 184 raids, arrested 179 individuals, and demolished over eight homes.
Palestinian children continued to suffer abuse in the West Bank. Two were killed and three injured by Israeli forces; nine were arrested. Mosques faced attacks as extremists stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Settlement Expansion and Land Confiscation
Settlement activities included land confiscation for buffer zones and expansion efforts. Settlers established new outposts while attacking Palestinian towns and villages. These attacks involved damaging olive trees, stealing livestock, cutting power supplies, and burning houses and vehicles across 39 incidents.
The ongoing violence has led to significant infrastructure damage throughout affected areas. The situation remains dire as tensions continue to escalate without resolution.
