OIC Media Observatory Documents Over 184,000 Israeli Crimes Against Palestinians Since October 7
The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Media Observatory has documented extensive violations by Israeli forces against Palestinians. Between September 10 and 16, the observatory recorded 1,844 crimes across Gaza, the West Bank, and Al-Quds (Jerusalem). This includes numerous attacks on civilians and property, highlighting ongoing tensions in the region.
In Gaza alone, Israeli actions resulted in 238 Palestinian deaths and 621 injuries during this period. A significant incident was the Al-Mawasi massacre, where a bombing near Khan Younis killed 40 people and injured 60 others. Another attack at Al-Jaouni School, linked to UNRWA, resulted in 18 fatalities, including six UNRWA employees.

Educational disruptions are severe in both Gaza and the West Bank. In Gaza, students have missed two years of schooling due to ongoing conflict. Meanwhile, in the West Bank, Israeli authorities and settlers harass students. For instance, they closed access to Al-Jiftlik village school in Jericho and blocked roads leading to Bedouin schools.
Israeli forces also targeted infrastructure in the West Bank. They demolished 13 houses and burned six more in Tulkarm. Additionally, they seized a house in Ramallah for military use. Commercial properties were not spared; demolitions occurred in Shuafat and Issawiya neighborhoods of Al-Quds.
Settler violence remains a critical issue. Over one week, there were 39 settler attacks documented. These included uprooting olive trees in Salfit and Nablus and poisoning livestock in Jericho and Tubas. Settlers also stole camels and sheep from villages like Yatta in Hebron.
Land confiscation is another pressing concern. Israeli forces seized large tracts of land to create security zones around settlements like "Yisthar" and "Karmiel." This involved taking over 17,897 dunums from villages such as Madama and Burin.
Continued Violence Against Palestinians
The OIC reported that during this period, Israeli forces killed 12 Palestinians in the West Bank while arresting 195 others. The military's actions included besieging hospitals and obstructing ambulances in Tulkarm and Tubas.
Mosques were also targeted; Al-Salam Mosque was destroyed in Tulkarm camp while Al-Sahaba Mosque was raided. The occupation forces continued bulldozing infrastructure within these areas alongside agricultural lands near Zeita town.
Destruction of Agricultural Resources
Agricultural resources faced significant destruction as well. In Ramallah's Deir Nizam village alone, olive trees were uprooted by Israeli forces. Additionally, settlers damaged water tanks and stone chains while demolishing agricultural rooms across Jenin towns like Jaba.
The observatory noted that settlers poisoned cows at Ein al-Hilweh area within Tubas governorate too—highlighting an alarming trend towards targeting essential resources for Palestinian livelihoods amid ongoing conflicts throughout occupied territories.
This comprehensive documentation by OIC underscores persistent challenges faced by Palestinians under occupation—ranging from loss of life to widespread property damage—amidst escalating tensions between Israelis & Palestinians across multiple regions within Middle East context today.
