OIC Strongly Condemns Israeli Law Opposing Palestinian Statehood

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has denounced the Israeli Knesset's approval of a bill that rejects the establishment of a Palestinian state. The OIC views this as a continuation of colonial occupation policies and ongoing violations of Palestinian rights, defying international law and United Nations resolutions.

The OIC reiterated its unwavering support for the two-state solution and urged the international community to take responsibility for ending the Israeli occupation. It called for achieving a just, lasting, and comprehensive peace in the region. Additionally, it emphasized empowering Palestinians to exercise their legitimate national rights, including self-determination and establishing an independent state on pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

OIC Condemns Law Against Palestine

The organization condemned the incursion by an extremist minister from the Israeli occupation government into Al-Aqsa Mosque courtyards under Israeli forces' protection. It reaffirmed its condemnation of Israeli policies aimed at altering Jerusalem's geographic and demographic reality. The OIC stressed the importance of defending Al-Aqsa Mosque and working towards its return to Palestinian sovereignty as part of the territories occupied in 1967.

The OIC also condemned measures by Israeli authorities to undermine UNRWA's status and role. These measures include direct attacks on its facilities, targeting employees, and obstructing activities in occupied Palestinian territories. The organization considers these actions severe violations of the UN Charter, its resolutions, and agreements on privileges and immunities.

The organization affirmed its support for efforts by the State of Palestine to mobilize international responsibility. This includes activating mechanisms of international justice to hold Israel accountable for war crimes and genocide. The OIC aims to rectify historical injustices inflicted on Palestinians.

Furthermore, the OIC reaffirmed decisions from successive summits and ministerial councils. It called for continued work with international actors to halt ongoing Israeli military aggression against Palestinians throughout occupied territories, especially in Gaza. The organization urged countries that have not recognized Palestine to do so and support its right to full UN membership.

In conclusion, the OIC remains committed to defending Palestinian rights and advocating for international action against Israeli policies that violate these rights.
