Bahrain And Saudi Arabia Leaders Discuss Enhancing Bilateral Relations In Riyadh Talks

Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, Speaker of the Saudi Shura Council, recently hosted an official meeting in Riyadh with Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam, Speaker of Bahrain's Council of Representatives. This meeting was part of Al-Musallam's official visit to Saudi Arabia, where he led a delegation from Bahrain's legislative body.

Al Al-Sheikh began the session by welcoming Al-Musallam and his delegation, highlighting the significance of the relationship between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. He emphasized that these ties are strengthened by frequent high-level visits between officials from both nations. The historic and brotherly relations have progressed in various fields under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Bahrain and Saudi Arabia Hold Official Talks

Al-Musallam praised the exceptional relations between the leaderships and peoples of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. He advocated for enhancing parliamentary relations to further strengthen bilateral ties across all levels. He acknowledged Saudi Arabia's crucial role in maintaining regional and global security and stability, noting that Bahraini-Saudi relations exemplify close cooperation.

The discussions during the session covered several topics of mutual interest. Both sides explored ways to enhance cooperation between the Shura Council and Bahrain's Council of Representatives. This collaboration aims to meet the shared aspirations of both countries' leaderships.

The Shura Council speaker highlighted the robust relationship between the two councils, emphasizing ongoing cooperation that aligns with both nations' goals. The guidance from King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa has also been instrumental in fostering these ties.

Following their discussions, Al Al-Sheikh hosted a lunch banquet in honour of Al-Musallam and his delegation. This gesture underscored the warm hospitality extended to their Bahraini counterparts during their visit.

The meeting served as a platform for both parties to reaffirm their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations. It highlighted their dedication to working together on issues that benefit both countries while promoting regional stability.
