In a significant operation during the first 10 days of Ramadan, the National Water Company (NWC) has successfully distributed over 7.2 million cubic meters of water in Makkah, marking a daily supply rate that surpasses 720,000 cubic meters. This initiative is part of the company's commitment to ensuring the provision of optimal services to visitors and residents in the holy city.

The NWC has strategically prepared for Ramadan by securing operational water storage exceeding 3 million cubic meters in Makkah. This preparation aims to meet the increased demand for water during this sacred month, especially in areas surrounding the Grand Mosque and the central region, which receive water supply continuously around the clock. Additionally, water is pumped to all neighborhoods connected to the water network for up to 21 hours each day.

NWC Boosts Makkah Water Supply for Ramadan

Maintenance teams from NWC are stationed across Makkah, ready to address any emergencies around the clock during Ramadan. The company emphasizes its commitment to water quality by conducting over 1,000 laboratory tests daily. These tests ensure that the water supplied meets all required standards and specifications.

Regarding the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz project for Zamzam Water Distribution, NWC has reported that strategic storage has reached more than 2.2 million bottles in its warehouses. These bottles are available to accredited contractors at a unified price across all cities in the Kingdom. To accommodate the heightened demand for Zamzam water during Ramadan, NWC has prepared for a maximum production capacity of up to 200,000 bottles per day. The company also ensures that prepared quantities are available for air cargo shipment at distribution points at airports, highlighting the stability and efficiency of its operational plan.

NWC encourages customers to reach out with any comments or inquiries through various channels including its smartphone application, its website at e.nwc.com.sa, or by phone at: 8004411110.
