NWC Launches 22 Major Projects To Enhance Water Infrastructure In Jeddah Governorate
The National Water Company (NWC) has embarked on 22 major projects in Jeddah Governorate, with a budget exceeding SAR1.8 billion. These initiatives involve constructing pipelines and networks stretching around 984 kilometers. The aim is to bolster the infrastructure of water and environmental services, enhance service coverage, and improve quality in response to Jeddah's urban growth.
These projects are designed to boost operational efficiency in both water and sanitation sectors. They will extend services to previously unserved areas, aligning with Jeddah's rapid development. This aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 goals, focusing on environmental sustainability and improving residents' quality of life.

NWC highlighted that the projects include main and feeder water lines, transmission lines, environmental service networks, and surface water level drawdown systems. Additionally, a tanker filling station is being constructed at the northern reservoir. These developments aim to enhance the overall infrastructure significantly.
The ongoing efforts will benefit 30 districts within Jeddah Governorate, catering to approximately 260,000 residents. This initiative builds on 15 previous projects announced in May 2025, which were valued at over SAR2.3 billion. NWC remains committed to strengthening water distribution systems and promoting environmental sustainability.
NWC's strategic plans focus on reinforcing infrastructure for water and environmental services sectors. By expanding service coverage rates and improving quality, these projects support the urban renaissance in Jeddah. The company aims to achieve environmental sustainability targets while enhancing the quality of life for residents.
The new projects are part of NWC's broader commitment to mitigating environmental damage and ensuring water security. By investing in these initiatives, NWC seeks to align with Saudi Vision 2030's objectives of sustainable development and improved living standards for all citizens.
In summary, NWC's capital projects in Jeddah represent a significant investment in infrastructure development. With a focus on expanding service coverage and improving quality, these efforts aim to meet the needs of a growing population while supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
