NWC Invests SAR 60 Million In Water Projects To Support Aseer Region's Tourist Season

The National Water Company (NWC) has successfully finished two significant water infrastructure projects in the Aseer Region, specifically in Abha and Khamis Mushait. These projects, with a combined cost exceeding SAR60 million, aim to serve over 20,000 residents and support the area's tourism season by addressing the increasing demand for water.

In Abha, the first project involved an investment of more than SAR35 million. It focused on developing water networks across eight districts: Al-Hayam, Al-Khalidiya, Al-Atharban, Al-Zamil, Qasr Al-Alaya, Al-Areen, and Qura Al Yusuf. This initiative is set to benefit over 10,000 people by installing 55,700 meters of water networks and a transmission pipeline stretching 15,170 meters. Additionally, a pumping station with a daily capacity of 1,200 cubic meters was established.

The second project in Khamis Mushait required an expenditure of more than SAR24 million. It involved laying down 60,000 meters of water pipes of varying sizes. This project aims to supply drinking water to six districts: Al-Dharfa, Al-Iskan, Tara, Al-Diyafa, Al-Yamama, and Atoud. Approximately 10,000 residents will benefit from this development.

These initiatives are part of NWC's broader strategy to improve operational efficiency and ensure sustainable water services throughout Saudi Arabia. The company is committed to enhancing water distribution and delivery systems across all cities and governorates in the Kingdom.

NWC emphasises its dedication to maintaining high-quality standards in all its projects. The company encourages residents in Abha and Khamis Mushait to access these services through official channels like the NWC mobile app or their e-branch at nwc.com.sa.

These projects not only address immediate needs but also contribute significantly to achieving long-term water security in the region. By implementing these networks efficiently and on time, NWC supports both local communities and the tourism sector during peak seasons.

The completion of these projects underscores NWC's ongoing efforts to enhance water infrastructure across Saudi Arabia. By focusing on sustainable practices and quality service delivery, NWC aims to meet the growing demands for reliable water supply while supporting regional development goals.
