NSHR Praises UN Human Rights Council For Protecting Children's Rights In Cyberspace

The National Society for Human Rights (NSHR) in Saudi Arabia has expressed approval of the United Nations Human Rights Council's unanimous decision to adopt a resolution focused on safeguarding children in cyberspace. This resolution is seen as a crucial move to bolster international efforts in protecting children's rights amidst the increasing challenges posed by the digital world.

NSHR highlighted that this resolution aligns with a global initiative launched by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, aimed at protecting children online. This initiative underscores a growing commitment to upholding children's rights within the digital realm.

NSHR Supports UN Resolution on Child Protection

Khalid Al-Fakhri, President of NSHR, emphasized that the resolution marks significant progress in enhancing legal and preventive measures to shield children from digital threats and violations. Al-Fakhri also commended the Kingdom’s mission to the United Nations and international organizations in Geneva for their role in supporting and engaging with this resolution.
