Noura Al Kaabi Engages With Dominican Republic President To Enhance Bilateral Relations At World Governments Summit
Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of State, engaged in several bilateral discussions with senior officials from the Dominican Republic during the World Governments Summit - Latin American and Caribbean Dialogue (WGS-LAC Dialogue) held in Punta Cana on 2nd and 3rd October. These meetings aimed to enhance UAE-Dominican Republic relations and explore economic opportunities.
Al Kaabi, along with representatives from various UAE organisations, met with Luis Abinader, President of the Dominican Republic. They discussed ways to strengthen bilateral ties and explore economic and investment opportunities between their nations. This meeting highlighted the importance of cooperation for mutual benefits.

During a high-level meeting, President Abinader and Al Kaabi witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the World Governments Summit and the Centro de Análisis para Políticas Públicas. This agreement signifies the growing relationship between the UAE and the Dominican Republic, extending cooperation to Latin America and the Caribbean region.
The minister also met Victor Bisonó, Dominican Republic’s Minister of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs. They discussed expanding cooperation in strategic economic sectors. The ministers explored educational initiatives and cultural exchange programs to equip professionals with expertise needed in fast-growing industries.
Al Kaabi’s participation at the inaugural WGS-LAC Dialogue highlights the UAE’s commitment to fostering meaningful partnerships across the Caribbean and Latin America. The focus is on enhancing cooperation in key economic sectors, education, and cultural exchange initiatives to advance mutual prosperity.
