This year's Hajj season, 1446 AH, showcased Saudi Arabia's dedication to a smooth pilgrimage experience. The campaign emphasised national, security, and organisational responsibilities for a successful Hajj. Measures included awareness messaging, intensified security at Makkah entry points, advanced monitoring technologies, and immediate penalties for violations.

Arafah Day was particularly notable for its success. Pilgrims adhered to instructions and reached their camps on time. This resulted in smooth traffic flow and clear roads around Arafat and Namirah Mosque. A sense of tranquility prevailed as pilgrims performed rituals in a secure environment supported by extensive government services.

Each authorised pilgrim received designated spaces within holy sites, ensuring an organised experience prioritising health and service needs. These included housing, catering, healthcare, and modern transportation options. Smart applications further enhanced awareness efforts among pilgrims.

Efficient movement between holy sites was facilitated by coordinated efforts across sectors using buses and trains. The Nusuk Card and modern technical supervision systems were crucial in regulating Hajj performance and ensuring compliance with guidelines.

Streamlined Arrival Process

The Ministry of Interior's Makkah Route Initiative has streamlined arrivals for over one million pilgrims since 2017 through 11 international airports. This initiative reflects Saudi Vision 2030's goal of enhancing Hajj services by providing a seamless experience for every pilgrim.

Heightened awareness campaigns reinforced adherence to guidelines while effective inter-agency coordination ensured smooth operations throughout the pilgrimage season.
