NMDC Energy Launches Advanced Fabrication Yard In Saudi Arabia To Enhance Regional Growth

NMDC Energy PJSC (ADX: NMDCENR), a subsidiary of NMDC Group PJSC (ADX: NMDC), has launched a modern fabrication yard in Ras Al Khair, Saudi Arabia. This development marks a significant step in the company's regional and global expansion strategy. The facility, spanning 400,000 square metres within the Ras Al Khair Special Economic Zone, is equipped with cutting-edge automation and digitalisation technologies.

The new yard boasts an annual production capacity of 40,000 tonnes. It will support offshore facilities fabrication and onshore modularisation as part of a comprehensive maritime and offshore cluster designed to bolster industry support. NMDC Energy has invested AED 200 million into this facility to ensure it operates productively, safely, and with minimal environmental impact.

Over the past five years, NMDC Energy has reinvested SAR 5 billion into Saudi Arabia's economy and industry. This investment aims to create positive economic outcomes in the Kingdom. The Ras Al Khair yard is a crucial milestone in aligning with Saudi Arabia's economic priorities by embedding advanced technologies to enhance efficiency and reduce environmental effects.

Mohamed Hamad Almehairi, Chairman of NMDC Energy, stated that the inauguration of the Ras Al Khair yard signifies a promising new phase for energy cooperation between the UAE and Saudi Arabia. He said, "The inauguration of the Ras Al Khair yard represents a bold and exciting new chapter for energy cooperation for both the UAE and Saudi Arabia, which will bring vast tangible benefits to both nations."

Almehairi emphasised that NMDC Energy will act as a catalyst for economic growth by supporting priority industries, empowering businesses, and advancing solutions across the energy value chain. He highlighted opportunities for collaboration on projects that maximise resource value in both countries while ensuring leadership in regional energy transition.
