Dubai Initiates Preparatory Meetings For The 3rd Edition Of NMA’s 1 Billion Followers Summit
Preparatory meetings for the 3rd edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit commenced today in Dubai and will continue until 8th June. The event brings together over 25 globally recognised figures who play a pivotal role in content creation and influencing public opinion via major social media platforms.
The preparatory meetings aim to brainstorm themes and agendas for the third edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit. Organised by the New Media Academy, the first digital media academy of its kind in the Middle East, the Summit is the world’s largest meetup of content creators and media influencers.

The meetings aim to promote the Summit’s role as a platform to launch ideas, strategies, and initiatives that drive new media’s contribution as a creative industry supporting national economies and sustainable development goals. They also seek to enhance the role of the UAE’s creator economy.
These meetings will include a series of interactive sessions where experts and content creators share their expertise. This exchange aims to help promote the Summit on a wider scale and advance its role in shaping the future of content creation and new media globally by sharing knowledge and extending partnerships between influencers, content producers, and social media platforms.
The meetings also aim to help establish advanced themes that support the 1 Billion Followers Summit’s role in creating a roadmap for meaningful, sustainable content.
Alia Al Hammadi, CEO of the New Media Academy, stated, "The 1 Billion Followers Summit reflects the visions of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to establish the UAE’s position as a global destination for digital content creators, a haven for talents, and an arena for innovation."
"The Summit has transformed this promising industry as it helps highlight common human aspects while building bridges to connect the Arab region with the rest of the world to benefit communities everywhere," she added.
Global Participation
"25 CEOs, experts, content creators, and media personalities from nine countries are taking part in the preparatory meetings for the 1 Billion Followers Summit in its 3rd edition. They will brainstorm ideas and programs aimed at enriching the global event and maximising its impact," Al Hammadi said.
"It allows content creators to share experiences and exposes them to collaboration opportunities that drive the positive impact of digital content and new media while increasing the size of the creative industry and boosting its contribution to sustainable development plans regionally and globally," she added.
