Ninth King Abdulaziz Camel Festival Showcases International Participation And Strong Public Engagement
The King Abdulaziz Camel Festival's ninth edition has significantly boosted the camel industry, according to Dr. Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Turki, the festival's spokesperson. He noted the event's success in drawing large crowds and sparking fierce competition among camel owners aiming for top accolades. The festival continues to be a major attraction, enhancing both public interest and investment in the sector.
Dr. Al-Turki highlighted innovative competitions like the digital Raialnadhar (Shepherd of Vision) contest and the prestigious Al-Jazeera Camel award, which offers winners a private plane. These events have heightened competition levels and garnered widespread attention. The festival's diverse contests, including Al-Mazayen, Al-Hajij, and Camel Racing, have seen significant international participation, underlining the camel sector's growing economic significance.

The involvement of the Public Investment Fund through Noug Company, which focuses on marketing camel milk, has been pivotal. Additionally, private sector sponsorship of camels has played a crucial role in supporting the festival. This collaboration highlights the economic potential within the camel industry and its increasing importance on a global scale.
Dr. Al-Turki expressed gratitude to Saudi Arabia's leadership for their support. He acknowledged the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, HRH the Crown Prince, and Fahd bin Falah bin Hathleen, Chairman of the Camel Club's Board of Directors. Their commitment ensures continuous festival development aligned with Vision 2030 goals.
