NextWave Seafarers Program Launched By Transport Authority In Partnership With IMO And Bahri

The Transport General Authority (TGA), in collaboration with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and Bahri, has introduced the "NextWave Seafarers (NWS)" pilot program. Scheduled from 2025 to 2026, this initiative aims to train a new generation of maritime professionals. The program is designed to prepare participants for leadership roles in the global maritime transport industry.

A total of 17 cadets, both male and female, have enrolled in this six-month training journey. The curriculum includes practical rotations and knowledge-building modules, equipping them for careers in the maritime sector. This initiative is one of Saudi Arabia's significant international collaborations, showcasing its commitment to human capital investment and global maritime sustainability.
