New Murabba Strengthens Saudi–Japan Investment Collaboration At FII PRIORITY Asia Summit In Tokyo

New Murabba, a company under the Public Investment Fund (PIF), recently took part in FII PRIORITY Asia 2025 held in Tokyo. This event, organised by the FII Institute, brought together global policymakers, investors, and innovators to discuss "The New Asia." The summit emphasised Asia's growing economic influence and the importance of cross-border partnerships in developing sustainable, technology-driven destinations.

During the event, New Murabba's CEO Michael Dyke participated in a plenary session titled "What Defines the Next Great Destination?" He shared insights on New Murabba’s vision for Riyadh’s new downtown. This urban district aims to be people-focused and future-ready, emphasising walkability, sustainability, and advanced technology. Dyke remarked: "Tokyo reflects incredible standards of precision, design and harmony – qualities that are shaping New Murabba. Our participation at FII PRIORITY Asia provided a strong platform to share Riyadh’s urban transformation story and explore areas where Japanese innovation and Saudi ambition can work together. We see enormous potential for collaboration across technology, mobility, sustainable development, and cultural exchange."

Saudi–Japan Investment Collaboration at FII Summit

The summit also facilitated strategic discussions between New Murabba's delegation and leading Japanese companies, investors, and technology partners. These talks concentrated on smart infrastructure, advanced technology integration, mobility innovation, and cultural collaboration. Such engagements highlighted the ongoing momentum of Saudi-Japanese economic cooperation aimed at high-impact urban transformation initiatives.

New Murabba’s involvement underscored the increasing international interest in Riyadh’s transformation efforts. The development is seen as pivotal in shaping the future of cities globally. As construction progresses with significant groundwork completed – including over 15 million cubic meters of earth moved and more than 1,200 foundation piles installed – these global interactions are crucial for fostering innovation and investment opportunities.

The participation of New Murabba at this summit reinforced the deepening ties between Saudi Arabia and Japan in areas like smart infrastructure and sustainable development. The collaboration aims to leverage both nations' strengths to create future-ready cities that integrate cutting-edge technologies with sustainable practices.

As New Murabba advances its projects with thousands of workers on-site daily, these international engagements are vital for unlocking new avenues for partnership and investment. The focus remains on creating innovative urban spaces that reflect shared ambitions for technological advancement and cultural exchange.
