New Murabba Forms Strategic Partnership With NAVER Cloud For Urban Development In Riyadh
New Murabba, a company under the Public Investment Fund (PIF), has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NAVER Cloud Corporation from South Korea. This agreement supports the development of a 14 sq km mixed-use urban project in Riyadh. The MoU was signed at the company's Investment and Partnership Forum in Seoul, South Korea.
The three-year agreement focuses on exploring advanced technology and automation to aid New Murabba's construction. This includes robotics, autonomous vehicles, a smart city platform, and digital solutions for monitoring progress. The collaboration aims to enhance the project's delivery through innovative approaches.

During the forum, New Murabba CEO Michael Dyke emphasized the importance of this partnership. He stated, "Our partnership with NAVER Cloud Corp reinforces our commitment to collaborating with international investors and businesses who share our vision for New Murabba – and want to be part of Saudi Arabia’s transformational future." This highlights the project's alignment with Vision 2030 goals.
The forum spans two days and includes detailed presentations on Vision 2030, New Murabba’s master plan, investment opportunities, and discussions on technology and innovation. Attendees can explore scale models and virtual reality features that illustrate the development's scope.
Over 500 delegates are attending this event. Participants include investors, developers, government officials, suppliers, construction firms, service providers, technology companies, and smart city solution providers. This diverse group underscores the project's wide-reaching impact.
The New Murabba project integrates sustainable design with cutting-edge infrastructure to foster a future-ready lifestyle. It is expected to generate over 300,000 new jobs. Central to this development is The Mukaab, described as an iconic technological and cultural marvel.
The Mukaab: A Cultural Landmark
The Mukaab will serve as a premium mixed-use destination featuring retail spaces, cultural venues, tourism attractions, hospitality services, residential areas, commercial zones, and recreational facilities. Its design aims to blend various components seamlessly for an enriched urban experience.
Significant progress has been made in preparing The Mukaab site. Over 14 million cubic meters of excavation have been completed so far. This volume is comparable to filling approximately 5,400 Olympic swimming pools.
This collaboration between New Murabba and NAVER Cloud Corporation signifies a major step forward in realising Saudi Arabia's ambitious urban development goals while fostering international partnerships in technology and innovation.
