Sustainable EV Infrastructure Alliance: New Murabba And EVIQ To Roll Out Charging Across Development
New Murabba, a Public Investment Fund Company, signs a strategic agreement with Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Company (EVIQ) to roll out electric vehicle charging across major New Murabba assets. The move supports sustainable mobility, enhances service for employees and visitors, and prepares the destination for future residents within the wider targets of Vision 2030.
The agreement covers installation, operation, and maintenance of a network of AC and DC chargers tailored to different user needs. By embedding charging solutions within core facilities, New Murabba aims to create dependable access for daily commuters, business users, and high-turnover traffic, supporting wider electric vehicle adoption in Saudi Arabia’s urban centres.

New Murabba states that the collaboration strengthens alignment with national green initiatives under Vision 2030, particularly in clean transport and low‑emission urban planning. The partnership is designed to link smart mobility with future-ready infrastructure, supporting long-term environmental goals while keeping the downtown development globally competitive in terms of sustainability and technology readiness.
Under the agreement, both parties will deploy high-quality AC chargers at the New Murabba Headquarters and DC fast chargers across other locations within the wider development. This dual approach aims to match different charging speeds with user behaviour patterns, optimising convenience and improving asset utilisation across office, commercial, and mixed-use areas.
AC chargers are planned for locations where vehicles remain parked for longer periods, for example workplace parking areas. These chargers support routine daily charging and suit users who can leave vehicles connected for several hours. DC fast chargers are intended for high-traffic locations, where rapid turnaround and operational readiness are essential for drivers and fleet operators.
{TABLE_1}The collaboration also sets a framework for ongoing cooperation on advanced mobility solutions beyond the initial charger rollout. Both sides intend to keep the infrastructure aligned with New Murabba’s long-term delivery requirements, ensuring that future upgrades, new technologies, and service expansions support broader destination sustainability objectives and changing transport demand.
"Embedding future-ready mobility solutions is essential to New Murabba’s mission as we move from planning into delivery," said Chief Executive of New Murabba Michael Dyke. "Our partnership with EVIQ enables us to accelerate sustainable transport infrastructure and contribute to the Kingdom’s broader sustainability and innovation ambitions."
"This partnership reflects our shared commitment to building future-ready infrastructure that supports the Kingdom’s sustainability goals," said Cheif Executive at EVIQ Mohammad Bakr Gazzaz. "By integrating EV charging solutions into New Murabba’s development from the outset, we are enabling smarter mobility experiences while contributing to Saudi Arabia’s long-term vision for electrification, innovation, and sustainable urban growth."
