New Murabba Partners Forum Discusses Saudi Vision 2030 And Future Developments In Riyadh

The New Murabba Development Company (NMDC), a part of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), recently held the Partners Forum in Riyadh's Digital City. This gathering included over 40 leaders from various companies and strategic partners, focusing on Saudi Arabia's vision and Riyadh's future. Eissa Almunif, NMDC's head of corporate project management and stakeholder relations, opened the forum by highlighting the impact of Saudi Vision 2030 on Riyadh.

Michael Dyke, NMDC's chief executive, delivered a keynote speech outlining New Murabba's ambitious plans. He stated, "We are building an exceptional destination to become a model for urban and futuristic planning in the Kingdom." Dyke stressed the importance of commitment, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing among partners. He also noted that significant progress has been made with 86% completion in excavation work, involving over 10 million cubic meters of soil moved.

New Murabba Forum Highlights Future of Riyadh

New Murabba is keen on fostering diverse partnerships across key sectors to enhance development capabilities. These collaborations will include sponsorship rights, offering global brands unique experiences. The company also seeks partnerships with financial institutions and investors to attract top real-estate developers, architects, and contractors. Collaborations between public and private sectors are seen as vital for progress.

The second phase of the project will concentrate on developing vibrant communities in the eastern and western areas, along with a sports stadium. The third phase aims to complete the master plan and all proposed communities. New Murabba’s success hinges on strong partnerships that require diverse talent and expertise to drive progress.

The iconic Cube structure (Mukaab) was showcased during a field tour for forum participants. This structure will feature the world's largest immersive experience using advanced digital and holographic technologies. Engineering giant AECOM’s CEO Troy Rudd discussed "natural risks," while Honeywell country president Abdullah Abdulrahman Al-Jaffali shared insights into smart cities.

New Murabba is committed to environmental sustainability through partnerships with technology companies focused on smart cities. The project aims to set an example in green building practices while inspiring people globally to visit, live, and work in Riyadh. It promises future generations a model of sustainability, innovation, and quality of life.
