NEOM And Rajasthan Royals Celebrate Successful Second Edition Of Cricket Program With Increased Participation

The cricket program co-hosted by NEOM and the Rajasthan Royals concluded its second season with a thrilling men's final. Held over the weekend, the event saw the Tabuk Tigers triumph over the NESMA Fighters. Organised by Alfanar Global Development, this season witnessed an 85% increase in participation compared to its inaugural year. The tournament is part of NEOM's ongoing partnership with the Indian Premier League team, Rajasthan Royals.

The six-month-long competition featured a T10-style tournament with 146 matches and 84 teams from over 150 companies. This initiative highlights NEOM's dedication to promoting physical activity and community engagement. The grand finale was attended by 2,000 spectators, including cricket legends Rahul Dravid and Kumar Sangakkara. Additionally, the event introduced NEOM's first women's cricket initiative through an exhibition match between two women's teams.

NEOM's collaboration with the Rajasthan Royals aims to establish cricket as a significant sport within Saudi Arabia. Prince Saud bin Mishal Al Saud, Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation, expressed support for this partnership. He stated: "We are delighted to support NEOM's cricket partnership with the Rajasthan Royals, which aligns with Saudi Arabia's broader goals of developing and growing the sport at every level."
