NEOM McLaren Electric Racing And Oxagon Launch Innovative Livery For 2025 London E-Prix

NEOM McLaren Electric Racing has unveiled a fresh livery for the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship's final race in London on July 26-27. This new design, crafted by McLaren and Oxagon, introduces vibrant colours inspired by Oxagon while keeping the iconic papaya hues that define the team's visual identity. The updated look will be featured on the drivers' race suits, helmets, and cars.

The unveiling took place at McLaren Racing's "Never Stop Racing" fan event in Trafalgar Square. The design reimagines the team's identity as a bold "away kit," creatively expressing Oxagon's ambition, NEOM's reimagined industrial city. This collaboration between Oxagon and NEOM McLaren Electric Racing Team underscores the power of strategic partnerships to drive meaningful change.

By merging McLaren's technological expertise with Oxagon's vision for advanced and clean industries, both organisations aim to redefine how technology, sustainability, and design converge to shape the future of industry within NEOM and beyond. Ian James, NEOM McLaren Electric Racing Team principal, stated, "This special edition livery offers a fresh take on our existing design — a purposeful 'away kit' that shines a light on Oxagon, one of NEOM's key regions."

He further explained that it represents more than just bold visuals; it symbolises a partnership rooted in innovation, collaboration, and real-world industrial transformation. Vishal Wanchoo, Oxagon chief executive, added that their work with the NEOM McLaren Electric Racing Team demonstrates how cross-industry partnerships can accelerate sustainable transformation.

Wanchoo highlighted that by combining McLaren's performance and efficiency with Oxagon's vision for clean manufacturing, they are advancing innovation shaping the future of industry. Since launching the international Oxagon x McLaren Accelerator Program in 2023, two successful cohorts of scale-ups have completed a 12-week program designed to fast-track deep technology solutions.

This program has already led to pilot projects within NEOM and commercial opportunities across Saudi Arabia. In 2024, out of seven companies involved in this initiative, four were shortlisted to pilot their technologies in areas like HSE (Health Safety Environment), worker wellbeing, robotic container handling, and condition-based predictive maintenance at the port.

The partnership between Oxagon and NEOM McLaren Electric Racing Team exemplifies how strategic collaborations can drive innovation and sustainable transformation across industries. By leveraging each other's strengths in technology and vision for clean industries, they are paving the way for future advancements within NEOM and beyond.
