NEOM Celebrates Academic Achievements Of Tabuk Students In Chicago
NEOM, the visionary sustainable development project in northwestern Saudi Arabia, recently celebrated the academic achievements of its scholarship recipients from the Tabuk region at a special event in Chicago, US. The event, led by NEOM CEO Nadhmi Al-Nasr, honored the 130 participants of the 2023 Scholarship Program, which supports Tabuk students in their tertiary education and work experience abroad.
Of the 2023 cohort, 118 students attended the Chicago celebration, with 49 being recognized for their academic excellence or innovative contributions. The gathering provided an opportunity for these students to present their achievements, engage with NEOM's leadership, and explore potential collaborations.

The annual scholarship program's latest event built upon the previous year's success in Washington, D.C., featuring student presentations on key NEOM projects like Trojena, Oxagon, and ENOWA. Notable attendees included Founding President of NEOM University Professor Andreas Cangellaris, head of Health and Wellbeing Dr. Mahmoud Alyamany, and head of NEOM Digital Media Academy Nada Alshaibani.
Al-Nasr expressed pride in the scholarship recipients' accomplishments, highlighting NEOM's role in fostering academic excellence and community involvement. He emphasized the program's contribution to Saudi Vision 2030 by preparing a generation that excels academically and actively contributes to building a dynamic society and fueling economic prosperity.
The NEOM Scholarship Program, initiated in 2019, targets Saudi students and high-achieving school leavers. It has supported 740 undergraduate students and recent graduates to date. Participants study at prestigious institutions in Saudi Arabia, the UK, and the US. Upon completion of their studies, they are offered positions within NEOM's sectors, aligning their knowledge and skills with the expertise required for future development.
This initiative demonstrates NEOM's commitment to nurturing talent, driving innovation, and building a dynamic workforce to achieve the ambitious goals of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.
