Nearly 1.9 Million Guests Experience Spiritual Atmosphere At Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque During Ramadan And Eid Al-Fitr
The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre experienced a bustling Holy Month of Ramadan, drawing in a significant number of visitors. During this period, 1,890,144 worshippers and guests visited the mosque. Among them, 562,632 individuals performed prayers, including 193,435 for Isha and Taraweeh and 195,987 for Tahajjud. On the 27th night of Ramadan alone, 72,533 worshippers gathered at the mosque.
Throughout Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr, the mosque welcomed 391,011 visitors. During Eid, it hosted 122,819 guests. This included 57,629 worshippers and 64,959 visitors who enjoyed the mosque's spiritual and cultural environment. Despite Ramadan lasting only 29 days in 1446 AH, visitor numbers increased by over 10% compared to the previous year.

The Centre organised various initiatives reflecting its religious and cultural mission. It hosted four Ramadan lectures by Mohammed bin Zayed Majlis at a dedicated venue within the mosque. Additionally, it arranged 18 lectures delivered by esteemed scholars in collaboration with the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments and Zakat Fund.
More than 2.6 million Iftar meals were distributed during Ramadan as part of "Our Fasting Guests" initiative. Sponsored by Zayed Humanitarian Legacy Foundation and Erth Hotel partnership, this initiative highlighted UAE's values of generosity. The hotel prepared a total of 2,625,568 Iftar meals throughout Ramadan.
The mosque offered guided tours to enhance visitor engagement. A total of 289 tours were conducted for 4,270 visitors. Tourist companies made bookings for 128,361 visitors through 6,774 reservations. Additionally, there were bookings for official delegations involving 1,126 visitors.
The Centre also doubled its call centre operators to handle increased inquiries during Ramadan. The call centre received a total of 4,436 calls during this period.
Media Outreach and Volunteer Efforts
The Centre dedicated resources to highlight its activities throughout Ramadan. Over 100 media pieces were produced and shared by more than 700 media outlets globally. The mosque featured in over 3,600 news articles and social media posts worldwide.
Organisational committees formed volunteer teams from all departments to ensure a seamless prayer experience for worshippers. Volunteers from Emirates Red Crescent and other groups supported these efforts alongside police officers and paramedics.
Additional Mosque Activities
At Sheikh Khalifa Grand Mosque in Al Ain during Ramadan: there were a total of 290,331 worshippers including those attending Isha/Taraweeh (99k+), Tahajjud (76k+), Eid prayers (32k+). Meanwhile Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Fujairah saw attendance figures reaching around122k+. Ras Al Khaimah’s Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Grand Mosque recorded nearly40k+ attendees across various prayer sessions.
The Centre also extended services to other mosques like Sheikh Khalifa Grand Mosque in Al Ain where they distributed442k+ Iftar meals throughout Ramadan ensuring everyone could partake in this spiritual journey together regardless their location within UAE borders!
The Centre's commitment to fostering community spirit was evident through initiatives like blood donation campaigns held at Abu Dhabi Blood Bank alongside distributing audio Qur'ans featuring recitations by Imams Idris Abkar & Yahya Aishan commemorating Zayed Humanitarian Day on19thofRamadan!
