NCC Hosts Saudi-Italian Business Forum In Rome To Strengthen Economic Partnerships
Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of the National Competitiveness Center (NCC), Dr. Majid Al-Kassabi, highlighted significant changes in Saudi Arabia since the launch of Vision 2030. He stated that over 900 regulatory and legislative reforms have been implemented, transforming the economy under the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The forum was part of an official visit to Italy led by Dr. Al-Kassabi, aiming to enhance economic and trade relations between Saudi Arabia and Italy. The event saw participation from Prince Faisal bin Sattam bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Italy, along with 200 leaders from both public and private sectors.

Deputy Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy Valentino Valentini remarked on the involvement of 133 Italian companies in the forum. This participation underscores Italy's strategic commitment to fostering long-term partnerships with Saudi Arabia. The forum aimed to bolster collaboration across various promising sectors.
The discussions included a presentation on "Corporate Governance in Saudi Arabia" and five specialized panels. These sessions focused on exploring investment opportunities in key sectors such as tourism, architecture, fashion, retail, and mobility. The goal was to strengthen ties between Saudi and Italian businesses.
Eiman Al-Mutairi, Vice Minister of Commerce and CEO of the National Competitiveness Center, showcased recent reforms designed to boost competitiveness. She highlighted emerging investment opportunities within Saudi Arabia’s key sectors, emphasizing the potential for growth and collaboration.
Giorgio Silli, Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs at Italy's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, expressed optimism about the partnership with Saudi Arabia. He noted that this collaboration is built on quality, trust, and mutual innovation for a promising future.
Collaborative Efforts
The forum also spotlighted existing partnerships between leading companies from both nations. These collaborations are already underway, demonstrating a shared commitment to innovation and development across various industries.
The Saudi delegation comprised senior officials from several ministries including Commerce, Investment, Industry and Mineral Resources. Representatives from entities like the Public Investment Fund, Saudi Red Sea Authority, National Competitiveness Center, among others were also present.
This gathering underscored the convergence of Italy’s historical creativity with Saudi Arabia’s ambition for modern projects. It reflected a shared vision for building a new generation of large-scale developments through collaborative efforts.
