NCA Implements Cybersecurity Enhancement Program For Hajj Season 1446 AH

The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) is rolling out its Cybersecurity Enhancement Program for the Hajj Season 1446 AH. This initiative aims to improve the cyber readiness of technical systems and services during this year's Hajj. It also seeks to develop national cybersecurity capabilities and boost awareness among pilgrims and government employees.

A central feature of the program is a 24/7 cyber operations room. This facility will monitor and analyse cyber threats, with findings shared with relevant authorities. The NCA will also deploy incident response teams to support governmental bodies in assessing cyber risks to critical assets.

NCA Launches Cybersecurity Program for Hajj

The program includes various awareness campaigns targeting both pilgrims and personnel from national entities. These efforts involve specialized sessions for employees of participating entities. An interactive exhibition at King Abdulaziz International Airport's Hajj and Umrah Terminal Complex is also part of these initiatives.

Additionally, cybersecurity awareness materials will be distributed to tourist accommodation facilities in Makkah and service providers for Hajj and Umrah. These activities aim to enhance understanding of cybersecurity among all involved parties.

The program comprises four main tracks: technical cyber assessments, threat monitoring and response, capability enhancement, and awareness raising. These tracks are designed to bolster overall cybersecurity during the Hajj season, supporting national efforts to provide top-notch services to pilgrims.

Moreover, the NCA will assist in conducting cyber assessments that evaluate risks to essential systems. This proactive approach ensures that potential vulnerabilities are identified and addressed promptly.

Cybersecurity Drill for Skill Development

A significant component of the program is the Cybersecurity Drill for Hajj Season 1446 AH. This drill aims to cultivate expertise among cybersecurity specialists within national entities. It familiarizes them with modern attack methodologies and equips them with effective response strategies.

This drill contributes significantly to providing high-quality services for pilgrims by ensuring that specialists are well-prepared to handle any cyber threats that may arise during the Hajj season.

The comprehensive approach taken by the NCA underscores its commitment to enhancing cybersecurity measures during this important religious event. By focusing on readiness, capability development, and awareness, the program aims to ensure a secure environment for all participants in the Hajj season 1446 AH.
